A recent multi-hour regional incident at a major cloud provider gave us a real-world stress test of the multi-region failover architectures we have deployed for clients. Automated failover triggered correctly across all affected accounts within our target window, with no manual intervention required. The incident did surface one refinement opportunity: DNS propagation delays added a few extra minutes of latency during cutover, and we are now adjusting TTL configurations across client accounts to shave that down further.
